smart-MEMPHIS Piezo-electric energy harvesting master class attracts 40+ people crowd

The smart-MEMPHIS consortium hosted a Piezo-electric energy harvesting master class in connection to PiezoMEMS 2016 in rainy Grenoble on 23rd May 2016. The two-hour workshop collected presentations on various topics related to the smart-MEMPHIS project, including PZT material development, modelling piezoelectric harvesters, tailored ASICs, as well as PZT and energy harvesting market. The master class culminated in a panel discussion between prof. Paul Muralt from EPFL, Toshihiro Doi from Mitsubishi Materials Corporation and Thorsten Schmitz-Kempen from the characterisation company aixACCT.
